Day 3 of Husker the Elf
This morning we found Husker in the living room driving my daughter's Barbie car with Barbie. Maybe he was taking her out on a date?!? :)

Meet our Elf "Husker"
This year we started the "Elf on the Shelf" tradition. On Saturday our elf arrived via the North Pole. There was a note on the front door telling my 2 kids to look in the garage. There on the step in the garage they found a card and a bag. Inside the bag was our new elf and the card from Santa told them to name the elf and to be good. My son named him "Husker" but my 3 year old calls him "Sucker". We then came to the living room and Santa had DVR'd "The Elf on the Shelf" movie so we watched that and learned more about what our elf does.
On Sunday we found Husker fishing for goldfish crackers. He was there all day and never caught a one LOL

Monday we found Husker getting a pony ride from my daughter's My Little Pony. He fell off the pony after lunch somehow. Guess he got tired of holding on all day.
Stay tuned until Christmas to see what else Husker ends up doing :)

We have a winner!
Thank you to all who entered for a chance to win a children's birthday party package from me. There were lots of great themes for birthdays next year. I used random.org to choose a winner and the winner was number 1: The Fifth Street Mama! I will be getting a hold of you to get some more details about your child's Angry Birds birthday.
With so many great themes, I decided to pick a second place. Random.org chose number 3: Uniquely Yours. Your child will receive 12 gift boxes/bags, 12 gift tags, and a door sign. Please get a hold of me so I can get some more details about your child's Minnie Mouse birthday.
I will be doing another birthday giveaway in February for April, May, and June birthdays!

What a busy week I had
I participated in a craft show on Mother's Day and it went well. I had fun catching up with Christine from Pedestrian Designs since we shared a booth space. We used to be neighbors :) The weather was way better than it was last year which was nice. The week leading up to the craft show was full of late nights and early rising and no naps :(
I made laminated bookmarks, spiral notepads, paper clip bookmarks, and Tooth Fairy tins just for the craft show. Sold a few of my Tooth Fairy tins and a few bookmarks. I can't wait to make some more and work on some custom orders. You can find the tooth fairy tins and the bookmarks at my Etsy shop
Here are some pics of the stuff I brought to the craft show:
Laminated bookmarks
Gift card holders and spiral notepads

So excited about 2011
I'm so excited about where 2011 is taking Altered by Jenn. I started off by adding some new items to which I'll be selling this year. Here in our little town it's hard to find party stuff that isn't based towards: Princesses, Toy Story, CARS, Dora, Pirates and Sesame Street. I had heard some of my friends saying that they weren't happy with the selection around here either so I decided to help change that.
I had the idea to start selling party items that can be customized in any shape, color, or theme the customer would want. I am so glad I have decided to pursue this area. I was contacted by a friend that wants me to make a cake topper and matching banner that says "Bride to Be" for her SIL to be's bridal shower in April. I'm also making a "Welcome Home" banner for my BIL's return from Iraq!
I can't wait for the first craft show coming up on Mother's Day so everyone that comes will see what I have to offer the town and surrounding areas :)
