Almost Thanksgiving

My son started preschool this year and we got his first school pics back and OMG I love them! His teachers said he was the first one to get his pic done and he did a great job. He looks so sweet and innocent in this pic :)
We recently got our Family Christmas pictures done and I ♥ them so much! I'm so glad my friend Lori W. is a photographer!

I can't get over this one! My Katybug had just started to walk by herself 2 weeks prior!
Lori had the 3 of us throw leaves in the air. Katybug was too entranced with the leaves in front of her to throw any up in the air!Lastly, I started a shop on Etsy.com and it's going better than I thought it would. It's been slow going but I've been enjoying making things! Be sure to check it out sometime. http://alteredbyjenn.etsy.com!

A few new things

So our 13 month old daughter Katybug is now a walker! I'm both happy and sad at the same time. She's our baby and while I wanted her to start walking, I was hoping she'd crawl awhile longer. I love when babies learn how to walk and how they take small steps JUST SO CUTE!

Here are a couple pics from her 1 year photo shoot we had done in September by my friend Lori W. She was so patient with Katybug. I had to hold her for about 5-10 mins to calm her down and then all was well! If you're located in Western Nebraska, I highly recommend her.
I'm participating in a swap called Brown Paper Package Exchange. It'll be my first time participating in a swap that isn't scrapbook related! It looks exciting and can't wait to find out who my partner will be. If you would like to participate, go visit Max and Ellie!

I've been asked to make a couple of things for a couple friends and this is what I made. One of my friends asked for me to make her 2 purple notepads as gifts for Christmas and the other friend asked me to make her some price tags for her tutus that she'll be selling this Christmas.

Flowerpot Pocket Card

I'm hoping to start posting stuff weekly since I've been a huge slacker!

I first saw these Flowerpot Pocket Cards over at SCS (Splitcoaststampers.com) and just had to try them out. They are so much fun to make and can't wait to make some more. Everyone of them that I have seen have been awesome! Here's the tutorial for them!

This one was made for a friend of mine that just had her baby 2 days ago! The center of the 3 flowers are stickers from Martha Stewart! The first picture is what it looks like with the insert inside of the flowerpot! The second picture is what the insert looks like!

Some things I've made

I recently hosted an altered mini composition book swap and I also made a coaster post it note holder for my partner. She said that she was having to fight her daughter off of it. So I offered to make her daughter one as well. She said her favorite colors were purple and black.

I made the coaster post it note holder and then a mini comp book to match. I added purple and white buttons down the side of the mini comp book along with a die-cut made with my Cricut.

I then found a really cool round top box tutorial and just had to try it out. The post it note holder and mini comp book fit in it. I hope the daughter loves them as much as I do!
